Friends of Sahara was started in 2002 as
a way to involve the community in the work of Sahara through
their donations - in cash or kind. All donations go directly
to client support. The fund is used to address emergency needs
of clients including :
• Medical care
• Reuniting individuals with their families
• Co-sponsoring ARV's until the client can afford the cost
• Nutrition for HIV positive persons who cannot afford
a healthy diet
• Education fees to ensure ongoing learning for a child
while the parent/primary income earner is in hospital
or rehabilitation
• Microfinance for small business |
Cheque payments can be made in the name
"FRIENDS OF SAHARA"
Quarterly updates are given to donors. Small donations are as
welcome as large ones. |
